  • Generally classes are based on age and experience, below is a breakdown of age per level.

    We recommend your dancer trial a class that seems like the correct age/level class, and the instructor can evaluate the student in class to ensure he/she is in the correct class.

    Beginner: Level 1 & 2

    •0-2 years of dance experience.

    •Average age of a beginner dancer is 5-10 years old.

    Intermediate: Level 3 & 4

    •2-4 years of dance experience.

    •Average age of an intermediate dancer is 8-14 years old.

    Advanced: Level 5 & 6

    •5+ years of dance experience.

    •Average age of an advanced dancer is 13 and up.

  • Black and Pink is located on 81st and Lewis and has shoes, attire, accessories and all things needed for dance class!

  • A breakdown of additional fee’s can be found on our pricing page or located in the welcome packet provided at the beginning of each year!

  • We ask they you remain outside of the studios during class as it’s important to build independence in the dancers. However, We have installed high definition cameras in all studios, which are linked to televisions in the common areas.

  • Yes, you can still register! We offer rolling registration through our fall semester and the first month of our spring semester. After January 31st, students can still register for technique classes and can join other classes, but will not be able to participate in the May recital.

  • We have dance teams for each age division and all star pom teams which dancers can audition for at The Vault in the spring (April/May). If you would like more information regarding these teams please see the front desk.

  • We have a large youth dance program, offering combo classes for children as young as 3 years old. We do ask that your child is fully potty trained before enrolling in classes!
